I have the same question as Pat raised above in terms of which life cycle stage etool reports leakage emissions in.
It appears that the etool templates report refrigerant leakage as B4 stage in the template “Air Source Heat Pump – embodied (multi-split) (kW)”. In RICS Professional Standard, refrigerant leakage is to be included in B1, “Module B1 covers direct emissions and removals from construction products, such as emission of blowing agents from insulation, refrigerant leakage from MEP equipment or removal of CO2 through carbonation of concrete” (https://www.rics.org/content/dam/ricsglobal/documents/standards/Whole_life_carbon_assessment_PS_Sept23.pdf)
Could you clarify if there is a supporting standard that has been used to attribute the leakage as B4 in the etool template? Thank you
