Hi, we are modelling a project for Green Star and according to their modelling rules “Upfront Carbon Emissions
calculation guide” “The data used for each building element must be from a similar source for both the Proposed Project and the Reference Project. For example, the EPiC Database used in the Upfront Carbon Emissions calculator can be used for the same building element in both the Proposed and Reference Projects, or EPD data can be used in both, but they are not to be mixed. ”
We wish to use EPD data for our proposed concrete mixes but the concrete manufacturer don’t produce an EPD for their reference mix. They have provided us with the GWP calculation of their reference mix which is calculated in the same way as it is for their mixes with an EPD. Is there a way to use their GWP data in the reference model?
