Leather and Cotton

    Hi eTool,

    I am looking to model furniture with fabric materials that are not available on the database: leather and cotton. Please could you share if there is an appropriate equivalent material that I could use?

    Hi Enda,

    Unfortunately, leather & cotton are not typical construction materials, which is why they’re not available in our default material database.

    The best way for you to model this in your LCA would be for you to find an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for the product and add it to eTool. You can refer to our knowledgebase post on How to Use EPDs for more information on using our EPD functionality.
