Tags

Due to popular demand, we’ve introduced Tags to eTool!

We plan to roll out this functionality into other parts of eTool such as tagging for templates, recommendations and so on. For now, you can only apply tags to EPDs.

How to Use Tags

There are 3 types of tags in eTool:

  1. Private (white)
    • Can be created by any user
    • Only visible to the creator
    • Can only be applied by the creator
  2. Organisation (green)
    • Can only be created and managed by Organisation Admins
    • Visible to everyone within the same organisation
    • Can be applied by all team members as long as they are holding an active seat
  3. System (grey)
    • Only created and managed by Cerclos
    • Visible tags are there as additional info for users
    • Can’t be applied by users however these tags are searchable

Create A New Tag

  1. Navigate to the EPD library
  2. Click on ‘EPD Tags’ on the right side of the EPD browser.
  3. Click on ‘New Tag’ in the pop up window.
  4. Specify the type of tag (only Org Admins will be able to create Organisation type tags)
  5. Type the new tag name.
  6. You can also specify which organisation to assign the Organisation tag to if you are an admin of multiple orgs.
  7. Click ‘Create’ to create the new tag.

Tag an EPD

After you have created your tags, you can apply those tags to your EPDs. You can only apply tags to EPDs that were created by yourself or an organisation member. Public EPDs are locked therefore you won’t be able to add tags to them unless you clone them.

  1. Open your EPD in the library.
  2. Click into the ‘Details’ tab of the EPD.
  3. Add your tag according to the type (i.e. organisation vs private tags)
  4. Click ‘Save’ to add tags
