Thanks for reaching out. Each material template has default settings for the ‘Maintenance or Repair Interval’ and ‘Maintenance Quantity’ fields. The first determines how often a replacement or repair occurs, while the second specifies the percentage of the initial material that needs to be replaced.
If the material has a 0-year interval and 0% replacement quantity, meaning no replacements are considered throughout its life. Instead, it is assumed that the material will be fully replaced at the end of its service life.
For instance, if the interval were set to:
Maintenance or Repair Interval: 15 years; and
Maintenance Quantity: 5%
Project Service life of 60 years
The software would calculate:
60 ÷ 15 = 4 replacement cycles, each contributing 5% of the A1-A5 impacts. These impacts would then be allocated to Module B4.
